I am passionate about providing my clients with an empathetic and collaborative therapeutic experience, by together setting meaningful goals and utilising an individualised approach guided by evidence-based interventions. I believe that longstanding change is made possible through a trusting therapeutic relationship, where topics can be explored non-judgementally and an emphasis is placed on skills development, self-efficacy and moving towards self-management. I work within various evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), metacognitive therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and family intervention techniques.
I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and children to address a variety of presenting issues, including:
-
Anxiety (generalised, panic, social anxiety, and phobias)
-
Depression and other mood disorders
-
Chronic pain
-
Obsessive compulsive disorder
-
Stress management
-
Relationship difficulties
-
Parenting challenges
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Western Australia, my Masters of Psychology (Clinical) at Curtin University, and have experience within both public and private mental health settings. I am fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and am currently practicing as a clinical registrar. I am available on Thursdays at Wisdom Health and work the rest of the week for the WA Health Department.
